Takaaki Itoh, one of the big names in Japanese techno, recently headlined at the grand opening of Orange Club in Budapest. The man has been heavily involved in growing the techno scene at home and abroad through organizing events and finally leading to DJing and producing. Influenced by what was going on in techno in the mid-90s you can really hear in this set and in his own tracks the influence of second wave Detroit artists like Jeff Mills, Plastikman, and Underground Resistance. This is hard, fast, sometimes abrasive techno. Let the weekend begin.
