Although Detroit is the birthplace of techno all styles of techno are featured here: Detroit, minimal, electro, tech house, and all electronic dance music derived from and influenced by Detroit techno. This is a user-driven site. You are encouraged to vote for sets you like, fill in play lists, post links to DJ sets you find, and discuss the music. As a user new sets/stories you post will go to the unpublished stories page until enough people vote for it to go to the main page.
We encourage you to publish stories that link as directly as possible to the music and to explain why the set is relevant to the ongoing story of techno. We will try not to send readers to files hosted on cheesy time delay upload sites and we encourage you to do the same.
Bosco was Born 30/07/1986 in Nocera Superiore, a small city in the south of Italy. He was only 12 years old when he started to experiment with music on his first pc. He got interested in many genres of music. Indeed he spent most of his time listening to the music of techno jocks, most of which came from Germany and Holland. When Roberto was 14, his sister, coming back from the London night life, surprised him with a pair of 1210 Technics. Finally his passion for music found its way on the decks. He started listening to many styles, especially loving acid, techno, progressive house and all of the deeper stuff. At a young age he started playing in various venues. Fastforward to 2006, tired of the trendy progressive sounds, Roberto returned to the roots and focused on producing his own sound somewhere between techno and deeper sounds. 2007 saw his first releases and remixes on labels such as Nightvision (Orlando Voorn’s imprint) and Snapshot (Elliott Dodge’s). He currently has more releases to come in the near future on various labels…
