So we got talking on PHM in the mini chat today about House Music and it's evolution in certain areas. Somehow we got talking about our decks and I had made a comment about using a Paint Brush to fine tune the platter on the turn table when mixing... This got me wanting to play!!!
I went home straight after work and tried out a new mix, first time, one shot! I went away again from what I normally do and played around 129 - 130bpm and played a bit of "this" and "that"... well I think I did. I put a mystery song at the back that is a classic in my area. I'm sure you'll know what it is??? Maybe not???

Top shelf man. Really liking the vibes on this one. Took a while for me to get into the vibe but once I got to that Ron Trent track I was into it. That Franck Roger track was sublime! Great work!

Gotta admit after the first 3 tracks I didnt know where this mix was going to go. After that the next couple of tunes made it more clear. Once I finished with the whole mix it made alot sense! Good selection of deep, dubby tunes that slowly progress and get a bit funkier before you drop it deep again towards the end Mixing is solid as usual, good to listen to late at night Keep it up AB

This mix begs a crowd, and 8 head high speakers to fulfil its purpose. It is way groovier than your usual mixes, but you have grown a distinctive style which involves intelligent breaks and drops. Similar to Drum and Bass, but in house music! Love it...

Nice deep mix dude. Had a real driving groove throughout, and always nice and deep. Also, the mixes and progression was quite smooth (except for one mix), especially for a mix that you just did on the fly. Well done!

Bullshit mix man! Tight as a Rhino's arse! Really really felt everything you put down, this is the mix I have been waiting to hear from you for some time. Lovely low slung tech house music, smooth as smooth can be and gritty and chunky as you like, great great work, i'd even say it's a masterpiece!

Great mix man.. really mature in the way u laid it out without pulling any obvious punches. The whole thing had this feeling of a constant build towards something.. really loved the deeeeep vibe section u created after the RockFeed track. The Montana and Sugar Soul tracks were ace too. But yes, like i said, it felt like it was constantly working its way towards some form of release. I was expecting the release to be some really open, jackin techno or something, but was pleasantly surprised when it came in the form of the rather hypnotic, trance-inducing 'mystery track'. This is the sort of mix that would get better upon multiple listens, and u achieved that by carefully laying down a subtle, yet interesting, journey through dubby jackin' house grooves. Kudos. 4/5.

this is my favourite mix of yours, awesome tracks mixed nice and smooth, keep tweekin that shit man, loved the start. and that dc mix of fresh start is dope as, dj jools recomended that to me 10 years ago sikk track.
